Rex Entertainment seeks to develop, create and produce hard hitting, factual documentary programming with integrity and style.

The Company is driven by the documentary film-maker Rex Bloomstein, whose films on human rights, crime and punishment and the Holocaust have become major themes in his work. He has exposed the hidden realities of prison life with films such as ‘Lifers’ and ‘Strangeways,’ which won two British Academy Awards, and pioneered 11 years of human rights appeals for the BBC with his series Prisoners of Conscience and Human Rights, Human Wrongs. As well as producing and directing, Auschwitz and the Allies, and his three-part history of anti-Semitism, The Longest Hatred, his most recent film on the Shoa, KZ, has been described as the ‘first post modern Holocaust documentary.’ Rex Bloomstein’s latest feature length film, An Independent Mind, features artists, writers and thinkers from around the world who face persecution for their right to freedom of expression. Rex Entertainment remains committed to move hearts and minds and appeal to people interested in strong, passionate and real storytelling.

Rex Bloomstein is a co-founder and former Chair of the Medical Foundation for the Care of Victims of Torture, and is a trustee of
the Prison Reform Trust.
